In the Making 1.08
Bear Claw Brazilian
Here is the first guitar that will be coming out of
the shop for 2008. All things considered it is pretty
stripped down. The client and I decided to let the
wood do the talking. No darkening of the back and
sides. A bit more of a contemporary look. Basic inlay
appointments, crown peg head and, as always, built
under tension.
16" Wild figure Brazilian Rosewood back and sides with
an amazing Bear Claw Sitka top. The top color on this
instrument is affectionately know as "The Sicilian". I
utilize a special varnish graining technique to really
make the grain three dimensional, as well as to give
the instrument that vintage aesthetic that I like to
see even in a new guitar.
Stay tuned to see the finished instrument.
