Montuoro Guitar Co.
Style 7 0000
As a master of disguise this 16” 0000 features aesthetic attributes of a Larson style guitar but under the hood we have pure 1935 Martin style bracing. In my opinion quite possibly the best of both worlds as you have a guitar that will stick out in the pack visually but retains a tone very reminiscent of those amazing mid 1930s Martins. In a traditional Larson build the tone can at times be a bit more poignant and in your face. The subtlety of the scalloped brace adds warmth to the tone that is undeniable and mature.
In this video we have the incomparable Yiannis Gougourelas taking this particular guitar for a test drive. Tone is very subjective in videos and I hesitate to use them to compare and contrast. However Yiannis and his guitar playing is always superb and it will serve as a general idea of what the guitar sounds like. Put on a set of your favorite headphones and have a listen.
